CyanDB setup documentation

Use these steps to understand the setup before changing DNS or relying on a new email address. CyanDB currently helps you review configuration; it does not route real email.

1. Add a domain you control

Enter your domain in the workspace and use the provided TXT record to confirm ownership. TXT verification confirms ownership; it does not route email or change your existing mail setup.

2. Add a destination inbox

Choose the inbox that should receive messages for an alias, then complete its verification flow before selecting it as a destination.

3. Review current mail routing

Check existing MX records and your provider’s instructions before making changes. MX changes can interrupt incoming mail if they conflict with your current setup.

4. Create and review an alias

Choose a clear address name, connect it to your domain and destination, and review the routing details. Read our guides for freelancers, small businesses, and startups.

Current limitations

The current email-routing provider is a mock. CyanDB does not deliver or forward email or automatically edit DNS. Do not rely on this service for live email delivery.
